Dirt Project

Are you an up-state Illinois cyclist seeking more places to ride- AWAY From Vehicles?  Cyclists of the late 1800’s pushed for better roads, well before cars were around.  Now -cyclists are treated like some sort of sub-culture forced to share the roads in narrow vehicle lanes when we’re the ones trying to better ourselves and the planet.

Don’t settle for the status quo.  I created this site because I love to ride, yet hate the perpetual feeling that everyone on the road is out to kill me.  The land is out there and there are legislators sympathetic to large a user group like the cycling crowd.

So ask yourself – Would you like-

  • Improved network of paths to connect towns and cities
  • More off road trails/ pathways
  • Winter options / fat bike / plowed pathways / groomed trails
  • Official bike lanes
If so, please follow DP on InstagraminstaCapture to stay up to date with ideas and petitions.
